Board Members

Monique Martin

Monique Martin is an internationally recognized multi-disciplinary artist from Saskatoon. She has exhibited her artwork in more than 260 significant solo, invited and juried group exhibitions in ten countries. Her work often uses significant symbols or comments on contemporary social issues. Monique creates bodies of work rather individual pieces and focuses on specific concepts, she undertakes extensive research prior to creating her work, often incorporating historically significant symbols and images to express her ideas. Her works push the boundaries of standard printmaking: enormous scale printmaking, installation based printmaking and working with three dimensions in printmaking.

Kelsey Ford

Kelsey Ford is a BFA honours graduate (2019) from the University of Saskatchewan where she specialized in printmaking but also enjoyed collage and textile arts. Kelsey is currently on the Board of Directors for PAVED Arts Board and is entering her third year on the Nuit Blanche Saskatoon board as Vice-Chair and head of the Communications and Marketing Committee. Alongside being a practicing artist, supporting the local arts is a passion of Kelsey’s.

Emily Conlon

Emily Conlon is an interdisciplinary artist from Windsor, ON currently based in Saskatoon, SK. She finished her MFA in Studio Art at the University of Saskatchewan and holds a BFA Honours in Visual Arts from the University of Windsor. She works primarily in printmaking and drawing and often incorporates beeswax and embroidery into her work. She has participated in print exchanges and group exhibitions in Canada and internationally.

Robert Truszkowski

Robert Truszkowski earned a BFA from Queen’s University and a MFA from Concordia University. He has exhibited and lectured internationally, winning awards and recognition as an important artist working in contemporary Printmaking. In 2018 he was Visiting Scholar at the Kyoto University of Art & Design, and Kyoto Seika University, in Kyoto, Japan. He lives and works on Treaty 4 Land and is currently Professor of Printmaking at the University of Regina.

Patrick Bulas

Patrick Bulas is an artist who has lived in Saskatoon for over nineteen years. Born in Edmonton, he has received both his BFA and MFA from the University of Alberta. He has had solo exhibitions in Edmonton, and Saskatoon and has participated in group exhibitions in Finland, Vancouver, and Spain. In addition to his studio practice, he is the printmaking studio technician and a sessional instructor at the University of Saskatchewan. He has spent the past several years trying to understand the wonder and beauty of phenomena studied in physics and astronomy through woodcut, etching, and mezzotint. More recently, he has completed a series of prints depicting his cat Lucy interacting with a variety of animals and has collaborated with fellow artist Jordan Schwab on a series of work exploring alternative approaches to printmaking.

Atrayee Basu

Atrayee Basu is a final-year BFA Studio Arts Honours Student at U of S. Printmaking excites her because she can emerge herself into the process and transfer her emotions, energy, and love to create her art. Atrayee enjoy texture in art, so she is currently concentrating on Collagraph. This method of printmaking allows her to find out the ambiguous nature of texture and the relationship between natural texture and created texture.

Brooke Hoffos

Originally from Saskatoon, Brooke Hoffos brings a diverse background to her craft. With a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree from Medicine Hat College and furthering her studies in Screen Printing at Emily Carr University, Brooke's creative endeavors have been shaped by her international experiences in London, Edinburgh, and the West Coast of Canada. With a professional background as a Graphic Designer in sustainable, ecommerce, and agency sectors, she seamlessly integrates her artistic and design expertise to drive innovation and inspire change.

Madeleine Greenway

Madeleine Greenway is an artist located in Regina, Saskatchewan on Treaty 4 territory. She graduated from the Alberta University of the Arts (then Alberta College of Art and Design) with a BFA in Printmaking in 2014, and completed her MFA at the University of Regina in 2021.

Greenway is an active professional artist, arts instructor, and community member. She works in pencil crayon, relief printing, and silkscreen. Her work focuses on food and food production, the role food has to play in human relationships, and the significance of acts of cooking and growing food.

Girlynne Gascon

Girlynne Gascon is a Filipino multidisciplinary artist currently residing in Regina, SK. She acquired her BA in Psychology with minors in Visual Arts and History from University of Regina in 2020. Girlynne aims to share and incorporate her culture, personal narrative, and current interests in her works, which are primarily done in drawing and printmaking. She has taken part in group exhibitions in Saskatchewan, and her pieces were also published in WA magazine. On top of honing and practicing her art, she currently works at her local library.

McCall Kindt

McCall Kindt is an artist living in Saskatoon Sk. They earned their BFA Honors in Studio Art from the University of Saskatchewan in 2022. Her art primary looks at nature and the relationships people build with it by the interactions people engage in, and exploring how those interactions build memories and experiences that can be shared through art. They enjoy reading, writing, and fencing alongside art making. McCall’s preferred print medium is lino-cut and they also creates paintings and papercraft items.
